oh the things that happen in a year and a half.

geeze. i don't know what happened to my blogger. but i need it in my life. a lot has happened in a year and a half. i am getting ready to have a BIG two year old. we are slowly getting his birthday party together. it's gonna be the biggest and best birthday bash ever :) jackson is getting so big! he FINALLY tops the scale out at 24 lbs (for those who know us personally, know that this is a huge accomplishment for us as jackson was a preemie and has struggled with the whole gaining weight thing). he can say about 40 words or so. he is SO smart! he knows all of his body parts, he loves to dance and read books, he LOVES his trucks, he loves mickey mouse & barney of course, he is such a great helper and loves to help mommy and daddy do EVERYTHING. we are truly enjoying watching him grow into such a little man with an amazing personality. being a momma is truly the most rewarding "job" ever. sooo...in other news. i'm back to being a stay at home mom for now. jeff got an amazing opportunity to work for a great construction company making lots more money. i was planning on going back to work at a daycare for the time being but i just don't think i want that. sooo...we've decided that now is the PERFECT time for me to go back and finish my degree. i just applied for my FAFSA and am waiting to hear back for my award money and then will go from there. i know that i only have like 7 classes + student teaching to finish up my degree. i can't lie...i'm super nervous. it's been 3 years since i've been in college. i WANT to finish. i NEED to finish. it's time. and even though i'm nervous i'm so happy to get the chance to finally finish. i know jeff and i do not always see eye to eye. but the truth is...i'm beyond blessed and thankful that he supports me and is willing to work his ass off to provide for our family so i can do what i want to do. i love him so much. jackson will stay home with me (obviously) and my aunt will watch him when i'm in class or need time to study, rest, what have you. once he turns 3, we want to go ahead and put him in preschool. ehhh we'll cross that bridge when it gets here. call me crazy but i'm kinda looking forward to cooking, cleaning, taking care of baby, and being a housewife again...bring it on and helloooo pinterest ;) this is a pretty legit update for now. i feel like i need to be more productive while jackson is "napping" (I bet he's out for the night though...) instead of sitting behind my laptop which finally is WORKING now ;) the iphone gets old after a while...hahaha. xoxo
